🧠 Am I Burnt Out? Here Are the Signs! |
Feeling drained, struggling with routines, or noticing a shift toward negativity? If so, you might be experiencing burnout. The final months of the year are packed with holidays along with exams and/or professional deadlines. These obstacles can gradually wear you down, allowing burnout to creep in unnoticed.
According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, burnout is defined as the “exhaustion of physical or emotional strength or motivation usually because of prolonged stress or frustration.” Follow along to learn more about burnout, how to identify it, and how to recover if you do have burnout. |
Burnout can sneak up on you, affecting various aspects of your life. Here are some key signs to look out for:
Physical Exhaustion: Feeling constantly drained and fatigued. Emotional Exhaustion: Difficulty managing emotions or feeling overwhelmed. Sleep Cycle Disruptions: Trouble sleeping or irregular sleep patterns. Changes in Eating Habits: Eating more or less than usual. Frequent Headaches or Stomach Aches: Physical signs that stress is taking a toll. Negative Outlook: Feeling more pessimistic or irritated with daily life.
If you’re noticing these signs, it might be time to prioritize self-care, set boundaries, and reach out for support. Burnout is a serious issue, but recognizing it is the first step toward recovery.

📖 Navigating Post Election Stress |
Elections can be stressful, with emotions often running high, regardless of the outcome. Here are some strategies to help you cope with post-election stress:
Limit News Consumption: Taking breaks from the news or social media can help prevent feeling overwhelmed. Focus on What You Can Control: Engage in positive actions, such as volunteering or supporting causes that matter to you. Seek Support if Needed: If you’re feeling particularly anxious, don’t hesitate to reach out to a counselor or support group.
Remember, taking care of your mental health is essential. With these strategies, you can find some balance and calm in the post-election period.
The post-election period can be challenging, especially when certain communities are targeted. Here are some mental health resources tailored to different communities that offer culturally sensitive support:
Therapy for Black Girls: A space for Black women and girls to find culturally competent mental health support. The Loveland Foundation: Provides mental health resources for communities of color, with a focus on Black women and girls. Sanarai: A platform dedicated to improving access to quality mental health services within the Latino community. Asian Mental Health Collective: Works to end stigma and provide mental health resources for the Asian community. Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance: Promotes mental health support for mothers and childbearing people in the United States.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, reaching out to these organizations could be a helpful step towards finding relief and support.
